An Object Portrait of Ms. Dolly Pink & Mx. boi Rodriguez
O/our relationship and service and play began with a dinner, and since that night our play has been based around self-exploration, self-acceptance, goal-setting, and self-love, represented by the following objects and personal effects:
- The collar with locked lock is central to O/our ritual playtime.
- The strappy Bordelle bra, procured in lieu of liquor, and debuted on O/our first date together.
- A mini light blue perfume bottle, loved by the boi.
- A Jac Langheim latex dress, to signify my origins as a submissive dolly to my MommyDolly; the black latex bow was made to her instructions, another symbol of entrance into the world of BDSM.
- A length of rope from the set used to first tie them up — used many, many times since.
- This red silk scarf has been the “pop of color” on them for every high-protocol dinner date, and this red flower headband was worn to our first play party together.
- The pronoun pin signifies embracing an authentic self.
Their favorite book, Rainer Maria Rilke’s Letters to a Young Poet, houses a quote that beautifully captures our love: “For one human being to love another; that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation.”
