• The Ricoh GR-1 Film Camera is such a classic. And the Papa Richi Egoiste Pen is tragically discontinued.
• Four Composure scarves — Constellations, Regan (herringbone with brass snaps), Dylan (crosses), and Black Brocade — each with great stories, but the first was a collaboration with Scout Dunbar, who was doing constellation-based paintings in her unique style.
• Faber is a publisher of poetry books and Liberty is a London manufacturer renowned for their textiles. I was in London in late 2019, just as I shifted focus from making scarves to poetry. This book was a beautiful bridge between the two worlds and I still use one from the same series daily.
• The Anti Everything Spray pumps out such a fine, controlled mist! Occasionally I use it on my hair.
• I jump rope when I can only do fifteen minutes of activity, and have been doing so for a decade.
• This Memory Journal from a small bookstore in Moab, UT adds daily reflection to my routine and provides a variety of prompts that create seeds for later poems.
• I love the gritty silk graphite of the Blackwing Pencil even if I don’t love the ferrule; I found their Pencil Sharpener, with such solid geometric design in smooth matte black, at the Museum of Photography.
• A Poet Motors Handkerchief, from a friend’s retail store in New Orleans, became a go-to face covering while in the city during the fall months of 2020.
• I make Poetry Playing Cards; this boxed volume holds a short-form piece about memory. I use them in performances and send them to people who follow my Patreon.
