Origami
Before it was a folded plaything traded on grade-school playgrounds, the paper fortune-teller — chatterbox, cootie-catcher, salt cellar, by whatever name your childhood used — was still doing what divination always does: turning an arbitrary count of folds and colors into an answer somebody wanted.
This one is barely finished, its paper still being worked, fold by fold, into shape.
