Runecasting
Runecasting reads meaning into chance: a handful of runes, each marked with one of the old Germanic letters, is cast or scattered rather than drawn in order, and the pattern in which they land — which face up, which near which — becomes the message.
Here the runes are still falling, caught mid-air between one palm and the pouch they came from, the reading not yet settled.
