Taromancy
Taromancy is cartomancy’s best-known form: a deck of seventy-eight tarot cards, each carrying its own symbol and reversed meaning, laid out in one of dozens of traditional spreads and read as a story rather than a single answer.
Two readers work this spread together, one holding the fan still to be drawn from, the other already turning over what Strength and Justice have to say. (A conventional playing card, the eight of clubs, has found its way into the mix — for those who prefer their fortunes read the older way.)
